Cambridge Folk Festival

27th- 30th July 2023

Firstly, one of the most popular and well-known festivals in Cambridge is the Cambridge Folk Festival which has been running for almost five decades, showcasing the very best of folk, acoustic, and roots music from both UK and international artists. This year artists include Arrested Development, The Proclaimers, and Imelda May.

Cambridge Club Festival

9th -11th June 2023

Looking for a weekend of disco, glitterball, and fun this is one of the newest festivals in Cambridge that will take you on a journey of disco and discovery.

The festival takes place at the beautiful Childerley Orchard, just outside Cambridge, and is renowned for serving up iconic artists, family fun, and non-stop entertainment – with a wide range of arts, culture, and exhilarating music on offer each June.

You can book tickets for the day or the weekend and there’s a fantastic line-up, including Lionel Ritchie, Kool and the Gang, and Sophie Ellis – Bexter. There are plenty of acts performing that will keep you dancing all night long!

Cambridge Rock Festival 

2- 6th August 2023

Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteer music fans and has a fantastically relaxed atmosphere. The 2022 festival showcased 67 acts appearing over four days on three stages in the Cambridgeshire countryside.

Acts for 2023 include Don Airey and Friends, Gerry McAvoy Band of Friends, and Eddie and the Hotrods. The event has also supported many local breweries by running its own real-ale and farmhouse cider bar, with typically 80+ choices available each year.

The festival takes place in August and most people camp for the full three days.

Cambridge Summer Music Festival

14 – 29th July 2023

Since 1980, Cambridge Summer Music (CSM) has brought world-class music and musicians to Cambridge for the enjoyment of everyone in the city and the wider area.

This is one of the more established festivals in Cambridge and includes a variety of highlights such as Britten Sinfonia, The Bach Choir, Gabrielli ROAR, the Consone Quartet, soprano Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha, pianists Martin James Bartlett and Louis Schwitzgebel and violinist Alena Baeva.

All the concerts are presented in historic and beautiful venues, including college chapels, city churches, concert halls, and the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. These venues offer opportunities for audiences to visit and experience wonderful Cambridge places and spaces, such as College chapels and precincts, to which they might otherwise have little access.

We Out Here Festival 2022

10th- 14th August 2023

We Out Here Festival is a music project courtesy of Gilles Peterson, Worldwide FM, and Brownswood Recordings; bringing an unmistakable brand of musical eclecticism to the Cambridgeshire countryside for a celebration of live music, club culture, and emerging talent.

Joining the musical dots between soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz, and beyond, We Out Here showcases both outstanding live music and some of the best record collections in the world.
